Stop being so hard on yourself, there's nothing wrong with being single. take care
Kids ask the darnest questions nowadays.
Slap them twice over!
Just tell the student that you have not found your Mr Right yet. Sometimes honesty is the best policy.
I have this simple faith that as long as you are lovable and approachable, someone will notice you.
Soon.
Like kurakat79 said, just tell tehm you haven't met the right person yet.
And like Cavalock said, don't put too much pressure on yourself.
what a snarky little kid. says so much about what society instills in us.
love will come around when you least expect it. meanwhile, chill out and enjoy the living.
Well I got the same during the five years I was single. I was teach a GROUP of students - almost 25 in one class. They would tell me how nice I look with my long hair, how cute my specs look, how short I am...and also, how single I was.
"Miss Tan! Are you married?"
"No. I am not."
"Why not?"
"Good question. So why are YOU not married."
"Because I am still small." (their synonym for "young")
"Oh I see. Miss Tan is also very young. I am still a little girl. My mum says I have to wait."
"But you so old already. Later no man wants you."
"!@#$%^&*()@!#$%^&*!!!!!!" <=== that's me cursing underneath my breath cos teachers aren't supposed to swear at "innocent" kids.
Then the final blow came.
"Miss Tan! Maybe I can ask my uncle to meet you. He is also not married." *giggles rippled through the class*
"............"
